Foreign Trade and the complexity of its operations

The foreign trade transactions are usually complex because they involve several local and international legislation, various state and private players, different economic and political situations, besides the influence of different cultures and habits, not to mention the different languages. The Brazilian legislation particularly, despite recent advancements, still remains extremely complex with numerous obstacles to the development of foreign trade, which is also affected by the lack of logistic structure in the country. Owing to these factors, it is necessary to assess the several possibilities of foreign trade transactions in detail, to identify the one that best fits the company’s needs, and which also allows cost reduction and optimization of import and export processes.
